The Site is bounded by a business to the west, Waterloo Road to the north, Report <br />Avenue to the east and residences to the south. The surrounding land use is mixed residential <br />and commercial. <br />Site History/Assessments <br />In January 1999, soil contamination was identified during the removal of USTs. To date, 23 <br />monitoring wells have been installed and monitored regularly. A Site map showing the location <br />of the former and current USTs, monitoring wells and site features is provided at the end of this <br />five year summary. <br />Remediation Summary <br />Free Product: Up to 0.47 feet of free product has been noted in site wells. <br />Soil Excavation: An estimated 100 cubic yards of impacted soil were removed and <br />disposed offsite in 1999 <br />In-Situ Soil Remediation: Soil vapor extraction, conducted from May 2003 through <br />July 2010 removed approximately 33,323 pounds of TPHg. <br />Groundwater Remediation: Groundwater extraction, conducted from May 2003 through <br />present, has removed 12,720 pounds of TPHg and 6.3 million gallons of groundwater <br />(March 2011). In March 2011, the rate of removal of TPHg was less than 2 pounds per <br />day. <br />General Site Conditions <br />Geology and Hydrogeology: The Site is underlain by interbedded and intermixed sand, <br />silt and clay. The depth to groundwater varies seasonally between 44 to 58 feet bgs and <br />the groundwater gradient is northwest.
