Project No. 014-13157
Page No. 4
CONCLUSION
Based on the laboratory results for the confirmation soil samples, the hydrocarbon-impacted soil in the area
of composite sample S26, S27,S28 was removed from the site. Thus, the remedial excavation was
successful in removing the hydrocarbon-impacted soil in the area investigated.
LIMITATIONS
It is possible that variations in soil conditions could exist beyond the points of exploration and sampling.
This subsurface investigation of the subject site is limited in scope and no subsurface assessment can
eliminate all uncertainty. This type of assessment is undertaken with the calculated risk that the presence,
full nature, and extent of contamination may not be revealed within the scope of services performed. Please
be aware that the subsurface logs and laboratory test results do not provide a warranty as to the conditions
that may exist throughout the site. Furthermore, any sample, either surface or subsurface, taken for
chemical analysis may or may not be representative of a larger population. Professional judgment and
interpretation are inherent in the process and uncertainty is inevitable. Therefore, the data obtained are
clear and accurate only to the degree implied by the sources and methods. The extent and nature of
subsurface soil and groundwater variations, and the extent and nature of subsurface soil and soil
contaminants (if any) and variations in the contaminants may not become evident unless further study is
undertaken or earthmoving activities occur at the site.
Krazan & Associates will perform its services in a manner consistent with the standards of care and skill
ordinarily exercised by members of the profession practicing under similar conditions in the geographic
vicinity and at the time the services will be performed. Even where our services are performed in
accordance with the professional standard of care it is possible that hamrdous material contamination or
buried structures may not be detected or disclosed through the investigation proposed herein. Therefore,
no warranty or guarantee, express or implied, is part of the services offered by this proposal.
The findings presented herewith are based on professional interpretation using state of the art methods and
equipment and a degree of conservatism deemed proper as of this report date. It is not warranted that such
data cannot be superseded by future geotechnical, environmental, or technical developments.
This assessment and report were authorized by and prepared for the exclusive use of our client.
Unauthorized use of or reliance on the information contained in this report without the expressed written
consent of Krazan & Associates, Inc. is strictly prohibited.
KRAZAN & ASSOCIATES, INC.
tern United States With Offices Serving the Wes
Phase II LSA - 014-13157 Excavation Report FINAL.docx
