Respectfully submitted, <br />and the findings presented in a standard engineering report. <br />Water Sample Transportation and Analysis <br />Water samples from CPT extractions will be transported in approved containers, with the required <br />preservatives, under a chain ofcustody, to a state-approved laboratory. Analysis will be by EPA methods <br />8015, 8020, and 8260 for oxygenates (incl. 1,2-DCA & EDB). <br />Monitoring Well Construction <br />Monitoring well MW#1D will be installed in an eight-inch bore hole yvith T'1,.21/9sing to a depth to 7. <br />be determined by the CPT findings (Estimated to be between 10.1X-an4-1 near MW#1. <br />!co <br />Monitoring well MW#10S will be constructed with a one-inch PVC casing. The bottom twenty feet of <br />casing will be slotted with 0.010 slots. Filter sand for the slotted portions of monitoring wells will be <br />#2x#16 sand. A two-foot plug ofbentonite will cover the filter section and cement grout will be pumped <br />from the bentonite seal to the surface. A well box with locking caps will cover the monitoring wells (see <br />monitoring well detail attached). <br />Monitoring well MW#10D will be installed in the bottom the soil boring and contain five feet of 0.10" <br />slotted screen with #2 x #16 sand filter. A bentonite plug will be installed from two feet above the screen <br />section to the bottom of MW#10S screen section. <br />Funding <br />This work plan is subject to both the PHS-EHD of San Joaquin County permit and funding from the UST <br />Cleanup Fund. The county must issue the required well drilling permits and the funding is subject to <br />preapproval of the State of California UST Cleanup Fund before this work can be started. <br />Please consider this proposed work plan at the earliest opportunity.
