Failure to correct the identified violations within the <br />schedule provided will result in Department citing you for <br />continuing/additional violations. <br />I. Schedule of Violations <br />Section 66371, California .Administrative Code <br />(a) Permits are required for storage or disposal of hazardous <br />waste. Owners and operators of hazardous waste facilities shall <br />have permits during the active life (including the closure <br />period) of the facility and, for any facility which closes after <br />January 26 1983, during any post-closure care period required <br />under Section 67217, and during anycompliance period under <br />67186(c). <br />Section 25191101, Chapter 6.5, California Health and Safety Code <br />Any person who knowingly treats or stores any hazardous waste at <br />a facility which does not have a permit from the Department <br />issued pursuant to this chapter, or at any point which is not <br />authorized according to this chapter, shall, upon conviction, be <br />punished by a fine of not less than two thousand dollars ($2,000) <br />or more than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for each day of <br />violation, or by imprisoment in the county jail for not more <br />than one year, or by both the fine and imprisonment.
