If the soil vapor probes are destroyed the same
day or a month after the construction of the vapor probe than it should be fine. If the soil vapor probe is kept longer
than a month it will be classified as an monitor well.
Please send me a table with depths of all proposed soil borings, soil vapor probes, and monitoring wells.
Thanks,
Lor Xiong, REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E. Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
lxiong@sicehd.com
(209) 468-2807
From: Scott [mailto:SBittinger@stratusinc.net]
Sent: Friday, October 27, 2017 11:46 AM
To: Lor Xiong [EH] <Ixiong@sicehd.com>
Subject: RE: 1817 S Fresno Ave
I am the one who hand-wrote the changes in the work plan.
There are only two proposed monitoring wells: MW-12 and MW-13. There is a well construction diagram in the packet,
that shows the construction information (35' depth). As discussed in the work plan, the actual depth of the well might
be modified slightly, depending upon the soil types encountered (ie sands vs. clay, etc.). But tentatively, we are
proposing 20' to 35' depth screening interval. However, they could be constructed screened 18' to 33', if the geology
dictates a change, for example.
Are the soil gas probes classified as wells, or not? Those will just be hand-dug and constructed per the DTSC guidelines
for soil gas probes.
If you still need a table, let me know. But again, the well construction diagram should tell you everything pertinent to
the monitoring well construction for MW-12 and MW-13.
1
