Ms. Vera Fischer, P.G., RWQCB
April 24, 2017
Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment Project No. 2154-1817-01
1817 South Fresno Avenue, Stockton, CA
Page 8
Task 3: Laboratory Analysis
Groundwater samples will be forwarded to a state-certified laboratory for chemical
analysis. The samples will be analyzed for GRO using USEPA Method 8015, and for
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX compounds) and MTBE using
USEPA Method 8260.
Soil gas samples will also be forwarded to a California state-certified laboratory for
chemical analysis under strict chain-of-custody procedures. The soil gas samples will be
analyzed for GRO, BTEX, MTBE, naphthalene, and the leak detection gas iso-propyl
alcohol using USEPA Method TO-15.
Groundwater and soil gas analytical data will also be uploaded to the State of California's
GeoTracker database.
Task 4: Site Assessment Report Preparation
Following completion of the subsurface investigation activities, a report will be submitted
to document the work activities performed and to present the findings associated with this
work. The report will include, but not be limited to, a scaled site plan, soil boring logs,
well details, CPT results, a geologic cross section, tabulated analytical data, and certified
analytical results. The report will also document deviations from this Work Plan, if any.
SCHEDULE
Following approval of this Work Plan, completion of the onsite drilling work (CPT
borings and soil gas probe well installation) will be promptly scheduled with a C-57
licensed contractor. An encroachment permit application will also be prepared and
submitted to the City of Stockton. If the City of Stockton allows for installation at MW-
12 and MW-13 in the public right-of-way, this work will also be promptly scheduled. If
the City of Stockton will not allow for completion of this work, Stratus will contact the
RWQCB and work to develop an alternative course of action. If the City will allow for
installation of MW-12 and MW-13 at the proposed locations, our intention is to install
these wells during the summer of 2017.
LIMITATIONS
This document was prepared in general accordance with accepted standards of care that
existed at the time this work was performed. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is
made. Conclusions and recommendations are based on field observations and data
obtained from this work and previous investigations. It should be recognized that
definition and evaluation of geologic conditions is a difficult and somewhat inexact
science. Judgments leading to conclusions and recommendations are generally made
KABarries Trucking\Work Plans1bames trucking work plan 2017.doc STRATUS
