San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East HazeIton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205-6232
Website: wwwsjgov.org/ehd
Phone: (209) 468-3420
Fax: (209) 464-0138
July 8, 2014
PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING
SITE MITIGATION PLAN
DIRECTOR
Donna Heron, RFFiS
PROGRAM COORDINATORS
Robert McClellon, REFIS
Jeff Carruesco, REHS, RDI
Kasey Foley, REHS
Linda Furkatte, REHS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN for soil
and groundwater contamination from the underground storage tank (UST)
formerly located at 2151 COUNTRY CLUB, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
has been reviewed by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD). The plan is a proposal to destroy petroleum
hydrocarbon contaminants in soil and groundwater by an In-situ Chemical
Oxidation (ISCO) remediation treatment. The ISCO remediation treatment
is a series of injection events using a hydrogen peroxide solution that will
target a large area of the defined plume in the subsurface.
The EHD has made a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance
with California Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.7, Section 25299.37 and
California Code of Regulation Corrective Action Requirements, and that the
resultant work will not create significant adverse environmental impacts
which exceed the benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination.
The CAP is available for public review at the EHD office at 600 East Main
Street, Stockton during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
or on GeoTracker (https://geotracker.waterboards.ca.gov).
Final approval for the plan is scheduled for July 08, 2014.
Questions should be directed to Angelica Sandoval Mann, Senior REHS, at
(209) 468-2807 or email at amarin@sjcehd.com, or in writing at the
EHD, 1868 E. HazeIton Avenue, Stockton, California 95205.
