PROTECT ION Water Boards
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
10 August 2017
Linda Wilson
2606 Sheridan Way
Stockton, CA 95207
TOYOTA TOWN INC., 610 NORTH HUNTER STREET, STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY,
CASE# 390213
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Valley Water Board) staff reviewed
the Work Plan for Additional Groundwater Delineation (Work Plan) dated
4 August 2017, submitted on your behalf by ATC Group Services Inc. (ATC) for the Toyota Town
property at 610 North Hunter Street in Stockton (Site). In the Work Plan, ATC proposes to
advance three (3) hydropunch borings as follows:
Borings Total Depth
(ft bgs)
Groundwater Sampling
Depth
(ft bgs)
Analysis
HP-7 thru HP-9 65 45, 65 TPHg, BTEX, MTBE, TBA, other Fuel Oxygenates
TPHg=total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline; BTEX=benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes;
ft bgs=feet below ground surface
In the 10 May 2017 Subsurface Investigation Report, ATC indicates that they do not believe the
petroleum hydrocarbons detected in borings HP-5 and HP-6 at 65 feet bgs came from the Site
underground storage tank (UST). The proposed borings will provide additional delineation of the
extent of hydrocarbon impact to groundwater from the Toyota Town Site as well as provide
additional data related to the potential source of the deep groundwater impact in the northern
portion of the Site.
Central Valley Water Board staff concurs with the scope of work proposed in the Work Plan. By
10 November 2017, please submit a Groundwater Assessment Report. Based on groundwater
analytical data, please include conclusions and recommendations related to the source of the
hydrocarbons reported in deep groundwater in the northern portion of the Site.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding comments in this letter please contact the
undersigned at (916) 464-4615 or by email at alan.buehler@waterboards.ca.gov.
sS101‘144
Alan M.
