Groundwater samples will
be collected through the drill rods and pvc screen, estimated time of collecting a single water sample
would be between fifteen minutes to one hour depending on the rate of groundwater flow. After the
deepest groundwater sample is collected, estimated at 60 feet bgs, the boring will be backfilled with neat
cement through the drill rods and the 4 foot pvc screen, until the neat cement reaches the surface. The
drill rods will then be retracted from the borehole, leaving the 4 foot screen and disposable drill point
behind. Neat cement will be added as necessary to complete the backfill. The surface will be capped to
match surrounding conditions.
ATC anticipates that a minimum of two groundwater samples will be collected from each boring at
screened intervals between 40 and 60 feet bgs. Drill cuttings, if any, will be stored on-site in 55-gallon
containers pending laboratory results after which disposal arrangements will be made.
2 ATC
