MBTE was detected in the stockpile sample at a
concentration 5.58 mg/kg.
1,2-dichlorobenzene and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene were detected in the excavation
bottom sample at concentrations of 0.365 mg/kg and 5.38 mg/kg, respectively;
and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene and 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene were detected in the
stockpile sample at concentrations of 0.207 mg/kg and 2.43 mg/kg, respectively.
Total lead was detected in the UST excavation bottom sample and soil stockpile
sample at concentrations of 17.8 mg/kg and 244 mg/kg, respectively.
No additional constituents of concern were detected during the UST removal. Analytical
results of soil samples are summarized in Table 1.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
Based on the analytical results of soil samples collected during the UST removal in May
2014, the SJCEHD has directed the preparation of a work plan to assess the lateral and
vertical extent of contamination found at 3 East Eleventh Street, Tracy, CA. AGE
proposes to advance eight (8) soil probe borings for collection of soil and groundwater
samples to assess the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impact to the
subsurface of the site. The scope of work will include the following tasks:
Permitting and pre-field work activities;
Advancement of soil borings for collection of soil and grab groundwater samples;
Sample analysis;
Soil boring abandonment; and
Report preparation.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc.
