Kennedy/Jenks Consultants <br />7.6 Training <br />Kennedy/Jenks Consultants personnel participating in field activities will have completed the <br />Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response 40-hour health and safety training <br />course (29 CFR 1910.120), or have equivalent training, and have undergone annual 8-hour <br />refresher training. Training requirements are discussed in Kennedy/Jenks Consultants Health <br />and Safety Operation Manual. Prior to each work day, a TSB meeting will be held at the site to <br />familiarize personnel with health and safety issues, protective equipment, emergency <br />information, and supplies and to discuss special topics. <br />K/J personnel will have read all three sections of the BNSF Contractor course <br />at www.bncontractor.com and have completed the n exam within the last 12 months. A <br />certification badge will be kept on person at all times while on BNSF property. <br />All staff will have read and have access to MWOR 11 & 12 at the job site. Questions regarding <br />the MWORs may be directed to the SSO. <br />Roadway Worker Protection training (On-Track Safety) is required for this project as field <br />activities will include work within 25 feet of centerline of active tracks. <br />All Kennedy/Jenks Consultants employees are required to be covered under the E-Rail Safe <br />Program, and have a valid E-Rail Safe badge on their person at all times. <br />At least one Kennedy/Jenks Consultants employee onsite at any time shall have been trained <br />and currently certified for first-aid and adult CPR. <br />7.7 Medical Monitoring <br />Kennedy/Jenks Consultants personnel participating in field activities will be included in a <br />medical monitoring program. The program includes a baseline physical examination, pulmonary <br />function test, and blood and urine tests. Periodic (annual) examinations will be provided to <br />employees who are exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards at or above the <br />established PEL, above the published exposure levels for these substances, without regard to <br />the use of respirators, for 30 days or more a year. Annual examinations will also be provided to <br />Kennedy/Jenks Consultants employees who wear a respirator for 30 days or more a year or as <br />required by 1910.134. Details of the medical program are included in the Kennedy/Jenks <br />Consultants Health and Safety Operations Manual. <br />7.8 Sanitation and Illumination <br />The site may have drinking water, washing water, and restroom facilities available. If drinking <br />water is not available at the site, a sufficient amount of water will be provided to accommodate <br />each employee with 1 quart of water per hour.
