Avoid area, move to decontamination Reduction <br />Zone for further instruction. <br />Three short blasts: All clear, resume work. <br />8.1.4 Telephones <br />Telephones are used for routine communication and to notify offsite agencies of incidents and <br />request assistance. Emergency telephone numbers are given in Section 10. <br />8.2 Emergency Protocol <br />When an event recognized as an emergency occurs, the alarm system will be used to notify <br />personnel. As soon as the alarm system is activated, the SSO will be notified. <br />The SSO will take into account the following information: <br />Nature of emergency <br />Wind direction <br />Location of personnel <br />Monitoring results <br />Emergency equipment available <br />Offsite population. <br />Based on this information, the SSO will direct appropriate emergency action and agency <br />notification. After the emergency has been controlled and the site is considered safe to <br />re-enter, the SSO, in coordination with the Project Manager, will direct remedial action to restore <br />the site to full operating condition. <br />The SSO will investigate the nature and cause of the incident so work procedures can be <br />modified to minimize the likelihood of the incident's recurrence. <br />All incidents must be reported in a timely, appropriate manner to the Director of HS&E or H&S <br />Manager. An incident is any unplanned event resulting in injury, damage, loss of assets, <br />adverse publicity, or which requires notification of a regulatory agency, regardless of severity. <br />All Kennedy/Jenks Consultants personnel should report an incident to the SSO.
