2. Safety Data Sheets
SDSs provide specific information on the chemicals used at the facility. A binder of all SDSs is
maintained, if necessary, by the Office Safety Representative for each K/J office. Staff purchasing
chemicals are responsible for coordinating the purchase with the Corporate Safety Specialist (CSS).
The policy for purchasing chemicals is located on the Safety Zone web page. A copy of the SOS
provided by the chemical manufacturer must be given to the Office Safety Representative and attached
to the site specific health and safety plan (SSHSP). Purchasers will contact the chemical manufacturer or
vendor if an SOS has not been supplied with a shipment. Any chemicals coming in without an SOS will
not be used until an SDS is obtained.
Hazard Communication Written Program
Kennedy/Jenks Consultants©, November 2013
\isfocaMprojects\ is-proj12013 1365020.0t_bnsf stockton work plan‘2016 lirsc work plarnappendceskappendixb_hasp12016_hasp_2015content_fina1.docx
