BROWN JR. <br />00VERNOR <br />MATTHEW RODRIQUEZ <br />SECRETARY FOR <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Water Boards <br /> <br />Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />19 July 2017 <br />Tim McCoy <br />Director of Public Works <br />390 Towne Centre Drive <br />Lathrop, CA 95330 <br />APPROVAL OF MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION WORK PLAN, CONSOLIDATED <br />TREATMENT FACILITY, CITY OF LATHROP, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />The disposal of recycled water from the City of Lathrop's Consolidated Treatment Facility in San <br />Joaquin County is regulated by Waste Discharge Requirements Order R5-2016-0028. The City <br />of Lathrop (Discharger) owns and operates the facility. <br />Regional Board staff has reviewed the 5 July 2017 Monitoring Well Installation Workplan <br />(Workplan), which was submitted to comply with Provision H.1.j. of the WDRs. Provision H.1.j <br />states, "At least 180 days prior to initiation of recycled water use at Use Areas where existing <br />monitoring wells listed as compliance wells for future use are proposed for abandonment, the <br />Discharger shall submit a Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation Workplan that proposes <br />replacement well(s) to ensure representative monitoring of the specified Use Area." <br />The Workplan proposes to install replacement groundwater monitoring wells CLSP-11 and <br />CLSP-12. The proposed wells will replace wells CLSP-2 and CSLP-10, which were properly <br />destroyed in October 2016. The Workplan is approved. Once installed the groundwater <br />monitoring wells shall be monitored in accordance with Monitoring and Reporting Program <br />R5-2016-0028. <br />We look forward to receiving the Monitoring Well Installation Report by 15 October 2017. All <br />reports shall be shall be e-mailed to centralvalleysacramentoAwaterboards.ca.pov.
