El Dorado I have a few questions.
On the work plan (Task 2: Well Abandonment) it said B-1, B2, B3, B5 and B-6. Is it B5 or B4 that is going to be
destroyed?
B-4 is the well to be destroyed. I modified the work plan (attached).
The email sent to Michael Kith stated that there were no soil probes constructed in soil boring B5. Another concern
during the review is in section 3.0 Permitted Site Investigation which stated that B5 was advanced to refusal at a depth
of 7 feet bgs and sample reports recorded depths as 10 feet bgs. Was B5 grouted or backfill with natural soil? B5 must
be located, over-drilled, grouted with neat cement to the total depth as stated in the work plan if bentonite or natural
soil was used to back filled.
B-5 encountered a concrete slab at 7 ft and was backfilled with cement. Then the area of B-5 was excavated as part of
a larger mass excavation to remove the concrete obstruction that was encountered by B-5 (which caused the refusal)
— This was a large excavation to 7 ft plus, there is no hole or boring at this location now.
All the best
Andrew
TERRAX ENVIRONMENTAL, Inc.
Environmental Consulting and Contracting
Andrew Brack
PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW ADDRESS
16541 Gothard Street, Suite 111, Huntington Beach, California 92647
Tel cell: 714-717-1037 office: 714 846 2974
and rewterraxenv.com
This E-mail is covered by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act,18 U.S.A. sections 2510-2521 and is
legally privileged.
