Engineered Septic System Report Irerracon Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home and Offices ■ Lodi, California March 10, 2021 ■ Terracon Project No. NA207102 4.0 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION 4.1 Septic System Design Parameters The following table presents the design parameters for the septic system: Septic Tank Design Parameters New Septic Tank = Base Tank Capacity (BTC), plus Average Daily Flow (ADF) Calculations: Minimum (BTC) = 1,200 gallons 25 permanent employees, 100 visitors per day (ADF) = 25 employees x 13 gpd + 100 visitors x 2 gpd = 525 gallons Required Septic Tank Size = 1,200 + 525 = 1,725 gallons Minimum Recommended Tank Size: (1) 2,000 gallon tank Disposal Field Design Parameters Soil Type (table 9.7.2): Sand or Sandy Loam Soil Factor: 0.200 1,200 gal BTC + 525 gal ADF = 1,725 gallons Required Leach Line: 1,725 x 0.200 = 345 lineal feet (LF) of leach line Suggested new leach field layout: Install four (5) leach lines with a length of 70 feet. (345 LF/5 lines = 70 LF per line) New Septic Tank Volume: New 2,000 gallon monolithic septic tank with solid pump chamber baffle and (2) Orenco P1005 pump and duplex control panel'. Non -pressurized system. Please see design sheets for more details. Pump Size Requirement: See attached pump curve. ' Mechanical Floats instead of mercury floats. Please see the attached plans regarding further details of the septic system design and layout. The embalming room and all of its receptacles shall not flow to into the engineered septic system. All fluid from this room shall be diverted to an on-site storage tank for interval pumping and off-site haul. The size of the tank has been coordinated with the client based on 57.5 gallons per embalming with 300-400 embalmings a year. if each tanker can handle 3750 gallons per pick up, the tank should be pumped every other month and will be the clients responsibility to coordinate pumping and off -hauling.
