All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine level is too high at 27 ppm. Decrease and maintain the chlorine level in the spa <br />between 3.0-10.0 ppm. Close the spa immediately until the correct level is detected and is confirmed by the Environmental <br />Health Department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin. (CCR 65531) <br /> #37 Electrical Hazards <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is no GFI shutoff for the pool lights. Install or confirm a GFI shutoff for the pool lights. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with <br />California Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4) Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than 15 volts shall be protected by a ground <br />fault circuit interrupter.
