8.1 <br />8.3 <br />EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br />PHYSICAL INJURY <br />In the event of an accident resulting in physical injury, call emergency service <br />personel immediately and perform first aid commensurate with traini <br />nng and <br />seriousness of the injury. Severely injured personnel are to be transported only <br />by emergency service personnel and/or by ambulance personnel, unless a life- <br />threatening condition is judged to exist that must be addressed immediately. <br />The Project Manager is to be notified by the SHSO, as soon after the injury as <br />practical, regarding the nature of the accident. A written report is also to be <br />prepared and submitted by the SHSO to the Project Manager within 24 hours of <br />the accident. If the SHSO is unable to make the report (due to injury), an <br />individual designated by the Project Manager shall make the report. <br />CATASTROPHIC EVENT <br />In the event of a catastrophic event (e.g., severe personal injury, fire, explosion, <br />and/ or property damage), notify the fire/ safety and rescue department <br />immediately by dialing 911. <br />The Project Manager is to be notified by the SSO as soon as practical and a <br />written report prepared within 24 hours of the accident.
