All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as 'MAJOR'pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545 <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is 1.4 ppm. Provide free chlorine 2-10 ppm today. I observe 1 gallon of liquid chlorine <br />poured to pool. Now free chlorine is 6.6 ppm corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Keep gate closed sign is not posted. Post today. Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specked. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cracks are observed on both sides of the pool at 3FT depth. Seal in 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., An unobstructed 4 -foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31145) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br />OBSER VA TIONS: Difference between the effluent and influent is more than 10 PSI. BAck wash the filter today. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION., All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 31238) Pressure gauge <br />located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 31258) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br />can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
