(209) 836-2090 Program Element: 3611 - PUBLIC POOL/SPA- PRIMARY Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION - Operating Permit VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & 116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR - OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine at greater than 20ppm. Maintain chlorine between 2-10ppm. Close until corrected. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) #3 Safety Signs OBSERVATIONS: Safety signs faded. Replace in 2 weeks. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) #7 Pool Deck OBSERVATIONS: Gaps in cement at pool deck. Seal gaps in 1 month. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4 -foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained Flush with the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration OBSERVATIONS: Cyanuric acid above 100ppm. Facility drained twice since last season.
