e
Ask
(f) If the plant species survival in the wetland mitigation
areas are judged to be less than 80 per cent successful, the 5
year monitoring program will start again and continue for another
5 years. The permittee will furnish monitoring reports in the
Spring and Fall of each year for the first two growing seasons.
After that, the monitoring reports will be furnished in the
spring at the time of the vernal pools, blooming.
(g) The permittee will place a permanent easement on the
wetland mitigation areas to restrict any activities that might
damage the wetlands.
Water quality certification or waiver must be obtained
from the Regional Water Quality Control Board prior to initiating
construction.
This verification will be valid until the nationwide permit
is modified, reissued or revoked. All the nationwide permits are
scheduled to be modified, reissued or revoked prior to 14 January
1992. It is incumbent upon the permittee to remain informed of
changes to the nationwide permits. We will issue a public notice
announcing the changes when they occur. Furthermore, if you
commence or are under contract to commence this activity before
the date the nationwide permit is modified or revoked, you will
have twelve months from the date of the modification or
revocation to complete the activity under the present terms and
conditions of this nationwide permit.
If you have any questions, please write to Lou Cadwell, Room
6536, or telephone (916) 551-2263.
Sincerely,
Tom Coe
Chief, Regulatory Unit 1
Enclosure
Copies Furnished w/o Enclosure:
California State Water Quality Agency, 3443 Routier Drive,
Sacramento, California 95827
U.
