Box 1810
Stockton, CA 95201
REQUEST FOR WATER QUALITY CERTIFICATION, NORTH COUNTY SANITARY LANDFILL, CASE
NO. 3161
We have received your request for a water quality certification for the North
County Sanitary Landfill . It is proposed to mitigate any adverse impacts to
jurisdictional wetlands from the landfill .
Water quality should be adequately protected if mitigation measures are
carried out in compliance with all requirements of the Department of Fish and
Game, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Therefore, certification will not
be necessary and we anticipate no further action by our agency on this issue.
Should further investigation reveal a potential threat to water quality, we
will proceed with the revision of the facility's Waste Discharge Requirements.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5737.
1-5
k
i
KTlIdE
s a
Wa to Discharge to Land Unit
JKT:mkk
cc: Mr. Tom Coe, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento
Ms. Martha Vasquez, California Integrated Waste Management Board,
Sacramento
Department of Fish and Game, Region II, Rancho Cordova
Mr. Ed Padilla, San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Stockton
