Highway 26 - Phone (209) 887.3710 <br />Post Office Box 244 - Linden, California 95236 ; <br />All i, -7 1198 <br />San Joaquin County Planning Division 8 <br />1810 East Hazelton : tJi <br />Stockton Calif. 95205 <br />Application No; UP -89 -2 -North County Landfill <br />Due to the distance from the Linden -Peters Fire District Fire <br />Station located in Linden,approximately 8 1/2 Miles from the <br />proposed Dump Site, The Winter time road and fog conditions and <br />the projected life span of this proposed Dump Site, the following <br />recommendations are being submitted by this Fire District. <br />1. A Master plan of underground water mains and hydrants be <br />developed. Minimum required flow of 750 GPM. The fire flow <br />becalculated at the remotest area of the dump site. <br />2. Disposal cells be used for garbage, trash etc; and at least <br />2 Fire Hydrants on underground water mains be maintained within <br />300 feet of the active dumpleell. <br />3. Permament Hydrants be installed at the Main Entrance to the <br />dump site, also at the stockpile, salvage area's and at the <br />Maintenance shop area. <br />4. An area within the dump site be set up to dump hot loads, this <br />area also to have a fire hydrant readily accessible . <br />5. All weather, minimum of 20 foot wide access roads to be maintained <br />to the active dump cell -site, salvage areas and hydrant locations. <br />6. A minimum of 60 feet cleared area be maintained around the <br />perimeter of the entire dump site. <br />7. A Water-tenderj1500 to 2000 gal. capacity be maintained at the <br />dump site, capable of 100 to 150 GPM with proper hose and nozzles. <br />8. All working equipment have a portable, workable fire extinguisher <br />on them at all times. <br />9. A listing of Supervisory personnel be made avalible to the Fire <br />District, with phone numbers, up dated as needed. <br />CC.
