RECEIVED <br />BEFORE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN, <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA %►Ir: 9 9 1989 <br />R-89-641 AN JOAQUIN COON <br />PLANNING DIVISION <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GP -89-6, GP -89-8 AND <br />GP -89-19, AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED EXHIBITS. <br />WHEREAS, the San Joaquin County Planning,Commission, on June 1, <br />1989, did recommend adoption of GP -89-8 and GP -89-19; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Joaquin County Planning Commission, on June 1, <br />1989, denied GP -89-6 and said denial was appealed to the Board of <br />Supervisors on June 8, 1989; and <br />WHEREAS, on this date this Board of Supervisors did conduct a <br />public hearing on said matter, notice of which hearing was given in <br />accordance with law and oral or documentary evidence having been <br />received in favor of or opposed to said matter, and this Board of <br />Supervisors being advised on the premises; <br />WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors determined that the internal <br />consistency of the General Plan is maintained in the adoption of the <br />amendment; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board of Supervisors that <br />the Land Use/Circulation Element of the General Plan of San Joaquin <br />County is hereby amended by the approval or the following: <br />1. The appeal of the Planning Commission's denial of General Plan <br />Map Amendment Application No. GP -89-6 of Thomas & Shirley Summers <br />(c/o Dillon Engineering and San Joaquin County Planning Division) <br />for a General Plan Map Amendment to change 20 acres from <br />Agriculture to Rural Residential, with the following findings: <br />a. The project vicinity is an established Rural Residential <br />area; and <br />b. The project site is irregularly shaped and unsuitable for <br />agricultural use. <br />The property is located at the southeast corner of the intersec- <br />tion of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and Alpine <br />Road, east of Stockton. <br />2. General Plan Map and Text Amendment Application No. GP -89-8 of <br />the County of San Joaquin (c/o Department of Public Works) for a <br />General Plan Map and Text Amendment to recognize a proposed <br />320 -acre Class III Sanitary Landfill. The property is located on <br />the south side of Harney Lane, southwest of the intersection of <br />Harney Lane and Atkins Road, east of Lodi. <br />GP -89-6, GP -89-8, GP -89-19 -1- R-89-641 <br />
