Boring Permit Application <br />TRACY HILLS SITE — PROPOSED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br />WKA No. 10137.04P <br />February 22, 2018 <br />Page 5 <br />The monitoring wells will be destroyed by removing the well monuments, pressure-grouting <br />using tremie pipe (the length of the total depth of each well) with neat cement and holding <br />approximately 20 psi on each well for five minutes, then over-drilling the top five feet of each <br />well casing using appropriate sized hollow-stem augers (along with the well casings in each <br />boring) then covered with native soil to surface grade. <br />Health and Safety Plan <br />The Health and Safety Plan will be made available to any contractor or subcontractor or their <br />representative who will be involved with the field work. It will also be made available to <br />Jefferson School District designated representatives, and to personnel of other federal, state, or <br />local agencies with regulatory authority over the Project. <br />The work activities involving soil gas, soil, and groundwater potentially impacted with hazardous <br />substances will consist of the following: <br />Establishing site work zones; and, <br />Performing soil gas, soil, and groundwater sampling activities. <br />Chemicals of Potential Concern <br />The chemicals of potential concern in soil gas and possibly in soil and groundwater associated <br />with a possible release of crude oil that may have migrated beneath the Site from a pipeline <br />located approximately 700 feet off the Site and from a plume of tetrachloroethylene (POE) in <br />groundwater that is migrating north towards the Site from the Corral Hollow 11-2 Landfill located <br />approximately 2,500 feet south of .the Site are listed in the table below. <br />Chemicals of Potential Concern <br />Historical Land Use Site Features Chemicals of Potential Concern <br />Former Conoco Phillips crude oil <br />pipeline <br />Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), total <br />petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) 06-044 range, <br />polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), CAM <br />17 metals <br />POE groundwater plume VOCs <br />Safety Meetings <br />Prior to the beginning of work activities at the site, a safety meeting will be conducted.
