State College Boulevard, Room 5032 <br />Brea, CA 92821 <br />REQUEST FOR WELL DESTRUCTION, FORMER CHEVRON STATION #9-8632, 575 W. <br />GRANT LINE ROAD, TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CASE# 390842 <br />Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Valley Water Board) staff received <br />the Public Notice Fact Sheet (Fact Sheet) on 24 August 2018, submitted on your behalf by GHD <br />Inc. (GHD) for the Former Chevron Station #9-8632 unauthorized petroleum release at 575 W. <br />Grant Line Road in Stockton (Site). GHD distributed copies of the Fact Sheet to nearby <br />property owners/tenants with a listed public comment period from 25 August to 29 October 2018 <br />(65 days). <br />As Central Valley Water Board staff received no comments during the comment period, staff <br />request that you destroy any and all remaining Site monitoring and remedial wells and remove <br />any associated Site waste. San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) <br />maintains jurisdictional authority over well destructions in San Joaquin County, so please <br />ensure that you obtain all necessary permits and authorizations from SJCEHD prior to <br />destroying the Site wells. <br />By 9 February 2019, please submit a Well Destruction and Waste Removal Report. Please <br />include copies of waste manifests for all removed waste. <br />Subsequent to receipt and review of the requested Report, Central Valley Water Board staff will <br />issue a No Further Action Required directive and close the case. <br />If you have any questions or concerns regarding comments in this letter please contact the <br />undersigned at (916) 464-4615 or by email at alan.buehleramaterboards.ca .qov. <br />Alan M.
