Limited Phase ll Site Assessment Work Plan
VALDEZ PROPERTY
1755 West 11th Street, Tracy, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this, Limited Phase II Site
Assessment Work Plan for the property located at 1755 West 11th Street, Tracy,
California (site). The proposed scope of work includes the advancement of six (6)
borings for the collection of soil and grab groundwater samples and four (4) borings for
the collection of shallow soil vapor samples.
A site plan depicting the boring locations is presented in Figure 1; the proposed soil
vapor well design is illustrated in Figure 2; and the layout of the soil vapor sampling
train is presented in Figure 3.
2.0. BACKGROUND
It is AGE's understanding that a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment was recently
completed for the property. According to the Phase I, the site was developed as a
gasoline service station in the 1960s and early 1970s. Based upon the history of the
site, the Phase I recommended an evaluation of "potential impacts to soil, soil vapor
and groundwater associated with the former gasoline/service station".
The property is presently developed with a medical/dental office building. A former oil
pipeline (Old Valley Pipeline) used to be located adjacent to the site. Based upon the
historical use of the site and surrounding areas as well as the recommendation
provided in the Phase I, AGE recommends performance of a limited site assessment to
evaluate if historical site use has impacted the subsurface on the property.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
Based on historical use, site assessment has been recommended to determine if
petroleum constituents have impacted the subsurface at the site. For this investigation,
AGE proposes to advance a total of six (6) soil borings for the collection of soil and
shallow grab groundwater samples. Additionally, AGE proposes to collect a total of four
(4) soil-vapor samples in four selected borings adjacent to soil and grab groundwater
sampling locations.
The proposed scope of work includes the following tasks:
Permitting and pre-field work activities.
