Task 2- Well Abandonment <br />Prior to abandonment at each well location the well protective well cover will be removed. The <br />well casing will be drilled out to the original depth. In accordance with San Joaquin County <br />EHD, the wells will be grouted to within 2-feet of the ground surface with a neat cement mixture <br />of 6-10 gallons of water per 94 pound bag of cement. The cement mixture will be installed to fill <br />the open boreholes from the bottom to the top and capped with concrete. <br />There will be no prescribed compaction or testing of compaction. <br />Task 3 — Waste Management and Disposal <br />Concrete and scrap metal from the well vaults will be segregated for off-site recycling. Soil <br />cuttings will be considered Non-Hazardous and will be disposed of at an appropriate facility. <br />Task 4 — Reporting <br />A well destruction report will be prepared and filed with DWR and San Joaquin County. <br />Health and Safety <br />Crews to wear the following minimum safety equipment; <br />Hard Toe Boots <br />Hard Hat <br />Safety Vests <br />Gloves <br />Safety Glasses <br />Dust mask if needed <br />Crews will have the following minimum certifications <br />40 Hr Hazwoper training <br />a. 8hr refresher <br />CPR/First Aid <br />Crews to follow the following procedures <br />Remove well boxes <br />Hand clear to 5' to remove well materials <br />Mix neat cement mixture <br />Backfill boring to surface by slowly pouring grout mix into boring <br />Cap with concrete <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />Woodward Drilling Company, Inc.
