28 March 2019 AdvancedGeo
AGE Project No. 19-4669 Environmental
extracted by dedicated disposable polyethylene tubing through the hollow center of the
push rods into the screen section. Samples will be analyzed for the constituents listed in
Section 2.2. and will be collected into laboratory-supplied, non-preserved amber liters and
preserved 40-ml Volatile Organic Analysis (VOA) vials.
Appropriately sealed and labeled samples will be placed in a chilled container under ice
and transported under chain-of-custody procedure to a CELAP-certified laboratory. Each
sample container will be labeled with sample designation, time, date and sampler's
initials.
4.3. EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION
All non-disposable sampling equipment will be triple-rinsed in a solution of Alconox prior
to advancement of each boring. Rinseate generated during drilling activities will be
containerized in properly labeled Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-
gallon drums and stored on-site in an area lacking public access. Disposal alternatives
will be evaluated at a later date based on laboratory results.
4.4. BORING ABANDONMENTS
Following borehole advancements, Portland cement (grout mix) will be utilized to backfill
each soil/groundwater sampling borehole utilizing a trennie pipe. The SJCEHD will be
given the opportunity to inspect the grout mix prior to backfilling activities.
