Inside the main drain sumps provide a vertical clearance of 1 %z times the pipe diameter (3.00” <br />for the pool and 3.75" for the spa) between the top of the suction pipe and the bottom of the <br />main drain cover. Do this at each main drain in both pool and spa. <br />2. Main drains and equalizer lines shall all be split with a "T" connection in the middle of the <br />connector pipe. The suction pipes shall be at least 3 -feet apart. <br />3. Main drains and equalizer line covers shall meet the Virginia Graeme Baker Act minimum <br />standards for anti -entrapment. They must comply with ASME/ANSI A112.19.8-2007 <br />performance standards. Submit make and model number of main drain and equalizer line <br />covers prior to plaster inspection. <br />4. The Max -E -Pro Pumps you submitted must be upsized t 3/4 HP and not % HP. Pool turnover <br />requirement is 33 gpm and spa is 23 gpm. 6~ , ) -� <br />5. Rainbow chlorine feeders are not permitted for indoor pools and spas. Indoor pools and spas <br />must use a non -stabilized chlorine feeder. Submit make and model of chlorinator to this <br />department prior to plaster inspection. Must be commercial grade NSF -approved. <br />6. Pool shall have a minimum width of 15 -feet. <br />7. Indicate type and color of plaster finish prior to plaster inspection. <br />8. Deck, if concrete, shall have a medium broom finish. <br />9. Coping shall be commercial with an overhang of between 1 - 2 inches over water. <br />Any item(s) inadvertently overlooked on the plan check may be cause for re -construction at the pool, <br />spa, and wade pool. This Department requires a pre-gunite inspection, a pre -plaster inspection and a <br />final inspection.
