All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR' pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to Calfomia Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Signs with address, phone number, diarrhea advisory and CPR instruction are faded. Replace <br />immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Rope to one of the safety ring is frayed. Replace rope immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed -length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17 -inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: 8 lights need to be replaced. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION.., Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4 -inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31158) <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Chlorine is at 1.6 ppm. No stabilizer therefore it is ok to be at 1.0 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.
