LIVE OAK GEO ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
407 W. Oak St., Lodi, CA 95240 •:• (209) 369-0375 •:• logelodi.com
April 16, 2021
Project Number: 2117
Casey and Bruce Snider
17510 N. Tretheway Rd.
Lockeford, CA 95237
Regarding: Percolation Test
APN 051-180-36
11852 E. Harmony Grove Ln., Lockeford, CA (2.50 Acres)
Mr. and Mrs. Snider:
Per your request, Live Oak Geo Environmental, Inc. (Live Oak) has completed a percolation test
for the subject Site, located at 11852 East Harmony Grove Lane, Lockeford (Plate 1). We
understand that you are planning to construct a house on the Site, and the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department is requiring the completion of a percolation test
before the septic permit can be issued.
Soil Boring
On April 8, 2021, Live Oak observed the drilling of shallow and deep percolation test borings
by Central Valley Septic Services with a Spiradrill LHD 50 drilling rig. The borings were 12
inches in diameter and 3.50 and 12.04 feet deep. The location of the borings is indicated on
the attached Plate 2.
Soil Log
The soil in the borings was observed to be sandy clay to a depth of 5 feet, followed by a
hardpan of silty sand to 10 feet, followed by silty sand to the full depth of the hole.
Preparation and Presaturation of Percolation Test Holes
After the borings were advanced, the test holes were completed for the percolation testing.
Approximately two inches of pea gravel were placed in the bottom of each open soil boring,
followed by a 2.0 -inch diameter PVC pipe with perforations on the bottom. Pea gravel was
then used to backfill a few inches of the annular space.
Live Oak presaturated the percolation test holes approximately 24 hours prior to the
percolation testing. Each hole was filled with water to a height of 12 inches above the bottom
of the boring for the presaturation. On the day of testing, both holes were found to be intact
and dry.
Environmental Engineering Geology :• Geophysics
