Analytical Lab. One of the containers was being used for HPLC solvent waste. The label contained <br /> the words"hazardous waste",the facility name, address, and waste contents. The label was missing the <br /> hazardous property and the accumulation start date. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste by adding the <br /> hazardous properties (ignitable,toxic, reactive, or corrosive)and the accumulation start date. Containers that are <br /> emptied daily or weekly can be labeled"emptied daily"or"emptied weekly". <br /> Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by July 15, 2021. <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br /> of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br /> ($152). The waste contains active pharmaceutical <br /> ingredients (API) and pharmaceutical excipients.
