BAKER <br /> Received spill report 21-2019. Less than a gallon of oil (hydraulic or lubricating) <br /> was released from an out of service fire suppression pump that became <br /> submerged when the tide changed. Location as 2201 W. Washington St at the <br /> Port of Stockton. <br /> Called Steve Bender (209-323-9008). Spill is located at dock 8. He said that the <br /> spill is contained. The reservoir, which contains less than a gallon, only leaks <br /> when the tide is high. There are booms surrounding the area and absorbent pads <br /> within the booms to pick up any leaking oil. Steve Bender will be checking the site <br /> over the weekend. The person responsible for deciding how this will be cleaned <br /> up is out and will be back on Monday. After noon on Monday they will have a plan <br /> on how this will be fixed. <br /> 04/19/2021 Completed complaint information and ERR. Verified GIS in EC. Completed site BAKER <br /> map. <br /> Wrote Notice to Abate and emailed it to Steve Bender (Environmental Technician) <br /> at sbender.compliancefirst@gmail.com <br /> Called Steve Bender at 209-423-9008 and left a message to get an update on the <br /> clean-up. <br /> 04/26/2021 Called Steve Bender(209-323-9008) and left a message regarding the clean-up BAKER <br /> verification. <br /> Steve Bender responded that the crane company is coming out today but doesn't <br /> know if they will begin work today. <br /> 04/28/2021 Received update from Steve Bender that the clean-up is complete and the pump BAKER <br /> has been removed from the water. Photo of clean-up provided. 25 absorbent <br /> pads and 200 feet of boom generated from clean-up. Any impacted debris and <br /> vegetation was also removed from the water. Debris left in final clean-up photo <br /> was not impacted by oil. Waste will be handled as hazardous waste.
