Correct by 2 days. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) #8 Pool and Deck Lighting OBSERVATIONS:Pool light is not working. Replace by 1 week.This is a repeat violation. It shall be repaired, immediately. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31156) #14 Chemical Water Test Kit OBSERVATIONS:Current DPD test kit is old. Replace immediately. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine,pH,and cyanuric acid(if used)at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD type. Chlorine test kits shall be capable of testing for free and total chlorine,so that combined chlorine concentrations can be determined. (CCR 65529) #15 Operation Records OBSERVATIONS:Did not see pH and chlorine readings in pump room. They shall be available. Start recording daily readings. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual,pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) #18 Pool Shell and Tile OBSERVATIONS:Pool lacks several ceramic tiles. Tiles shall be immediately replaced. This is a repeat violation. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, and scrubbing.A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
