All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Wood slabs between concrete sections are damaged (close to heavy tables under trellis).These gaps <br /> shall be filled in with either concrete or wood. Correct by 2 weeks. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Step on deep end has a crack. Repair winter 2021-2022. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br /> handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed.At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br /> above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111 B)Pool <br /> operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #19 Depth Markers <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Shallow and deep depth markers on deck are damaged (broken tiles). They shall be removed and <br /> replaced by 2 weeks(it is also ok to spray paint depth once tiles are removed-make sure to add FT after number) <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Depth markers shall be clearly marked in the following locations:at maximum depth,at minimum depth,at <br /> each end, on both sides at each end, at the slope break,and along the perimeter of the pool at distances not to exceed 25 feet. Depth <br /> markers shall be 4 inches high in a contrasting color and be marked in units of feet and inches.For pool water depths 6 feet and <br /> shallower,markers with universal"NO DIVING"symbol shall be installed on the deck directly adjacent to the depth markers. (CBC 311 OB) <br /> #27 Pool Equipment Room <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Pump room has trash and old vegetation. Clean weekly. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep ancillary facilities well maintained. (CCR 65535)All filters, valves,pumps,strainers <br /> and equipment shall be readily accessible for repair and replacement.
