All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Free chlorine level is zero. It shall be 2.0-10.0 at all times. Pool closed at this time by this dept and may <br /> not re-open until level is acceptable. Call for re-inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #24 VGB Suction Covers MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Main drain is not secured. It shall be immediately secured to prevent an accidental drowning. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All suction outlets shall be equipped with suction covers that meet the applicable ANSIIAPSP-16 performance <br /> standards. (CBC 31376) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Pool is currently closed. Before it re-opens provide the following signs: "KEEP GATE CLOSED", "NO <br /> NIGHT SWIMMIMG"and on MAIN "6 in 1 sign"write capacity, hours, site address, and phone number of nearest hospital. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31206) <br /> #14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Obtain a DPT test kit. Once pool is open,test pH and free chlorine levels daily. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine,pH,and <br /> cyanuric acid(if used)at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br /> type.
