All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine at 0.2ppm. Corrected to 3.Oppm. Maintain between 3-10ppm. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid,2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #2 Pool Enclosure <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Fence has a large gap from the bottom of the fence to the ground at greater than 2 inches(by pool <br /> room). Back fill or provide a permanent barrier. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following:a fence,portion of a building, wall, or other <br /> approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br /> installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br /> 4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, orgates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br /> 31198) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br /> perpendicularheight of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced <br /> at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-1oot <br /> arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1314 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br /> are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. (CBC 31198) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Provide'keep closed' sign on gate and 'diarrhea' sign in the front area. Correct today. Corrected. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operatorshall keep safetysigns well maintained.(CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole, gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.(CBC 3120B) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Gaps around cement padding around exterior edges of the pool. Fill gaps in 2 weeks. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained Flush with the <br /> top of the pool coping.
