8. All deck areas must have a slope of no less than 1 percent (1/8-inch per foot) but <br /> no more than 2 percent (1/4-inch per foot) away from the pool. <br /> 9. All return lines and skimmer lines must be hydraulically balanced. <br /> 10.One guarded jet drinking fountain shall be provided for the first 250 pool users <br /> and an additional fountain shall be provided for each additional 200 pool users <br /> unless water is available at adjacent living quarters, or in an adjacent building <br /> such as clubhouse or recreational facility. <br /> 11.Gates and doors shall be equipped with self-closing and self-latching devices to keep <br /> them securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outwardly away from the pool except <br /> where otherwise prohibited by law. Hand activated door or gate opening hardware shall <br /> be located at a height no lower than 42 inches but no higher than 44 inches above the <br /> deck or walkway. The pool enclosure shall have a least one means of egress without a <br /> key for emergency purposes. <br /> 12.The showers must be provided with hot and cold water. A means to limit hot water to <br /> 110°F maximum shall be provided to prevent scalding. <br /> 13. Public toilet facilities must be located within 300 feet in travel distance, and available <br /> when the pool is in use. If required at the pool area, must meet Title 24 Section 31166 <br /> of California Code of Regulations. <br /> 14. The handrails on the stairs must 28 inches to 36 inches from any step and from the <br /> deck to the top of the rail. <br /> 15. The pool without stairs or ramp at the shallow end can only be used as a special <br /> purpose pool. It can only be used for instruction. <br /> Any item(s) inadvertently overlooked on the plan check may be cause for reconstruction <br /> at the pool.
