Universal Waste Container & Label Guide Sheet <br /> For EVS Personnel <br /> universal waste Universal Waste <br /> Label= 1 Total <br /> a hAttefli'S <br /> on container. <br /> 6 lamps <br /> electronics 1 label to be <br /> placed on the lid <br /> accumulation scare iia` of the container <br /> f — by EVS Staff. <br /> 4F% 4VR5 <br /> batteries ollectronic devices <br /> AW <br /> These pictogram labels should be placed on <br /> the front of the container dependent upon the <br /> waste item: Batteries or Electronic Devices. <br /> The labels are applied by EVS staff. <br /> NOTES: <br /> • All universal waste containers will be"clear"in color, as pictured above. <br /> • Universal Waste can only be stored in a department/area up to 1 year from accumulation start date or when container <br /> becomes%full. <br /> • EVS staff need to ask Departments if the container is for batteries to determine which pictogram label is needed: Batteries <br /> or E-cycle. Example: If Department says Yes=Apply Battery label; If Department says No=Apply E-Cycle label. <br /> • The new clear container may come with a used battery label inside of it. This label is not an approved label for Kaiser, <br /> discard that label into the Shred-it bin and apply the labels pictured in this guide sheet. <br /> • When handling this waste container: ensure lid is closed by clicking it into place, place one hand underneath for support <br /> while other hand grabs the handle. *Handle may not be strong enough to carry container load on its own. <br /> • EVS Staff to ensure all labels have been completed by the departments before collecting. <br /> o Label requirements: Departments are to complete the following-Check off 1 of the 3 options listed and insert <br /> accumulation start date <br /> Revised 6.28.21 by Safety <br />
