No new permits have
been issued.
Visited the property with the Community Service Team. When we arrived I spoke
with the tenant Loyd and his girlfriend. There was a large amount of junk and trash
on the property and Loyd said that he is in the process of cleaning it up. I did not
see any reason to start a housing case over the issue and Jose said he would
start an enforcement case for the large amount of mops present.
While on site I observed a bottle of pink liquid labeled Lifeline Herbicide. The
girlfriend stated that someone has been coming by at night and randomly dumping
things on the property. She also said that she attempted to pick it up and some
splashed on her arm and caused a minor burn. I also observed a 55 gallon drum
with a label for antifreeze. The drum was partially full. The girlfriend said this was
dumped by a trespasser as well. I got a phone number from Loyd, this number
would be attempted later and gives the message of being disconnected. I told the
tenants to leave the chemicals where they are and I would let our CUPA unit know
about it.
Discussed the situation with Claudia from CUPA and then made two complaints
for the hazardous chemicals as requested by Garret.
I attempted to call the tenants but the number came back as no longer being in
service.
Returned a call from Mai (209) 601-8295 with the county Ag Commission. She
wanted to get details about the chemicals and the exposure. I told her everything I
knew. She was asked if it was safe to visit. I told her that the tenants were
cooperative but there are a lot of dogs on the property.
Recorded by
LINDSAY
SUSZYCKI
SUSZYCKI
SUSZYCKI
SUSZYCKI
05/20/2021 Used the pictures taken during my complaint investigation to create a
photographic log.
