I work for the US Fish and Wildlife Service's Lodi office. We primarily monitor the delta areas for fish species. We are
encountering an enormous amount of trash (plastic, needles, feces, containers) in the San Joaquin River this year
near the Mossdale area. This has tended to get worse each year. We commonly get trash on the Sacramento River
as well. I am very concerned about the impacts of this to water quality. Can you please let me know how we can help
solve this problem? Do you need pictures? Should I be contacting someone else?
Area of Concern
Water
Watershed Delta
Drinking Water No
Water Quality Yes
Water Rights No
Name of Affected Water
Source
Cannabis/Marijuana
Other Water Related
Concern
San Joaquin River
No
No
This Complaint has been Referred to:
External Partner
San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department
Referred By Date
SWRCB 04/16/2021
