Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: <br /> 9:29 am <br /> 8:45 am <br />Time Out: <br />Program Element: 3612 - PUBLIC POOL/SPA - ADDITIONAL <br />Telephone: Owner/Operator: GATEWAY CROSSING LLC <br />Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION - Operating Permit <br />Address: 3580 W GRANT LINE RD, TRACY 95304 <br />Date: 06/30/2021Name of Facility: GATEWAY CROSSING APTS <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #1 Pool Gates MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: One of the pool enclosure entry gates (Northwest gate) does not self-latch all the way. Repair this gate to <br />self-latch immediately. <br />Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br />Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level of the spa is 2.6ppm. Increase the chlorine level to 3.0 to 10.0ppm immediately or face <br />closure. <br />Corrected on site: 1/2 bag of Shoxidizer was added on site. Re-check of chlorine level is 8.8ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #5 Restrooms and Showers <br />OBSERVATIONS: One of the showers lacks a knob. Provide an operable knob for the shower where lacking. Correct by 2 <br />weeks. <br />Per Maintenance, the restrooms are currently closed by Management (COVID). They plan to re-open by 7-15-21. Ensure the <br />restrooms are properly supplied and maintained when re-opened to residents. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean: showers, toilets, dressing <br />facilities, drinking fountains, diaper-changing stations, floors, walls, partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers (except outside) shall be <br />provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue, hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in <br />permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, <br />duckboards and footbaths are prohibited. ( CCR 65535, 65551) Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold water faucets. <br />Maximum water temperature at showers and lavatories shall not exceed 110*F.
