All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#1 Pool Gates <br />OBSERVATIONS: Main gate closes very slow. Adjust so that is closes more quickly. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self -latching devices. <br />Self -latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited bylaw. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: The other 2 gates lack "keep closed" and "diarrhea" signs. Provide by 1-2 weeks. <br />Main safety signs lack pool capacity and hours, site address, and phone number of nearest hospital. Write in by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to await, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />OBSERVATIONS: Table and chairs are close to pools deck rim. They shall be moved as to provide 4 feet clearance from <br />the rim. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4 -foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool service comes in 2x weekly. Obtain a D -P -D test kit and record free chlorine and pH readings for <br />the other days of the week. pH shall be 7.2-7.8 and free chlorine 2.0-10.0 ppm. Have readings available during the next <br />routine inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine, pH, and <br />cyanuric acid (if used) at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br />type.
