All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #3 Safety Signs OBSERVATIONS: Capacity, name and address, and hours faded. Post. Corrected on site. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unlesa otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) #7 Pool Deck OBSERVATIONS: Cracks on deck. Repair in 2 weeks. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) #18 Pool Shell and Tile OBSERVATIONS: Roughness and peeling on pool shell. Look into resurfacing. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CBC 31088) #19 Depth Markers OBSERVATIONS: Depth markers faded by hard water. Repaint or clean to reveal markers. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Depth markers shall be clearly marked in the following locations: at maximum depth, at minimum depth, at each end, on both sides at each end, at the slope break, and along the perimeter of the pool at distances not to exceed 25 feet. Depth markers shall be 4 inches high in a contrasting color and be marked in units of feet and inches. For pool water depths 6 feet and shallower, markers with universal "NO DIVING" symbol shall be installed on the deck directly adjacent to the depth markers. (CBC 31108) #23 Pool Inlets and Outlets OBSERVATIONS: 4 pool outlet holes (additive) have no covers, therefore present entrapment hazard. Provide covers to prevent entrapment hazard in 2 weeks. VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Inlet fitting shall not protrude greater than 1 inch into the pool and shall be rounded and smooth. Wall inlets shall be capable of adjusting the direction of flow. Each pool shall be provided with a main drain submerged suction outlet typically located at the bottom of the pool.
