All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Capacity, name and address, and hours faded. Post. Corrected on site. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unlesa otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cracks on deck. Repair in 2 weeks. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Roughness and peeling on pool shell. Look into resurfacing. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CBC 31088) <br />#19 Depth Markers <br />OBSERVATIONS: Depth markers faded by hard water. Repaint or clean to reveal markers. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Depth markers shall be clearly marked in the following locations: at maximum depth, at minimum depth, at <br />each end, on both sides at each end, at the slope break, and along the perimeter of the pool at distances not to exceed 25 feet. Depth <br />markers shall be 4 inches high in a contrasting color and be marked in units of feet and inches. For pool water depths 6 feet and <br />shallower, markers with universal "NO DIVING" symbol shall be installed on the deck directly adjacent to the depth markers. (CBC 31108) <br />#23 Pool Inlets and Outlets <br />OBSERVATIONS: 4 pool outlet holes (additive) have no covers, therefore present entrapment hazard. Provide covers to <br />prevent entrapment hazard in 2 weeks. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Inlet fitting shall not protrude greater than 1 inch into the pool and shall be rounded and smooth. Wall inlets <br />shall be capable of adjusting the direction of flow. Each pool shall be provided with a main drain submerged suction outlet typically located <br />at the bottom of the pool.
