<br /> <br /> <br /> JEFFREY ADAMS, PHD, PE <br />Principal Engineer <br /> <br />Jeff joined ENGEO in 1999 and is a Principal Engineer <br />directing environmental assessment, characterization, and <br />remediation projects, geotechnical field reconnaissance and <br />explorations, and engineering design and analyses. Jeff has <br />provided financial analyses on real estate development <br />projects as well as project cost-benefit analyses. He also is <br />heavily involved in our Entitlement and Permitting Support <br />services as well as our programs for Geologic Hazard <br />Abatement Districts. <br /> <br />Jeff has performed numerous Phase I and II Environmental <br />Site Assessments and site characterizations, as well as a <br />number of analyses and studies utilizing federal, state, and <br />local directives. He specializes in Brownfield redevelopment <br />projects requiring integrated solutions for the mitigation of <br />geotechnical and environmental hazards. Jeff is experienced <br />in developing financial models, cash flow projections and <br />budgets for a variety of projects requiring innovative financial <br />solutions. <br /> <br />Select Project Experience <br /> <br />Foster City Civic Center—Foster City, CA <br />Group Leader, Assistant Project Manager. Jeff provided <br />technical oversight for phase one environmental site <br />assessment for the Foster City Civic Center site and <br />environmental characterization operations for the site, which <br />was suspected of having been affected by unauthorized <br />petroleum hydrocarbon releases within the subsurface. <br />Following the completion of a soil gas survey, Jeff and team <br />demonstrated that vapor intrusion mitigation systems were <br />not necessary for proposed development, providing a <br />significant cost savings to the project. The project consists <br />of a multi-use urban infill development. <br /> <br />Alameda Landing—Alameda, CA <br />Group Leader, Project Manager. Jeff managed the <br />completion of a phase one environmental site assessment for <br />the Alameda Landing site. He also directed recent <br />environmental characterization operations for the site, which <br />was suspected of having been affected by naturally-occurring <br />methane deposits within the subsurface. Working closely with <br />innovative protocols, Jeff was able to demonstrate to <br />regulatory oversight officials that expensive vapor intrusion <br />mitigation systems were not necessary for proposed <br />residential structures, potentially saving millions of dollars to <br />the site developer.
