The containers <br /> were: <br /> -The 55-gallon drum of oily absorbent was missing the accumulation start date. <br /> -The 55-gallon drum of drained/undrained metal and paper used oil filters was missing the accumulation start date. <br /> On-site disposal records show that drained/undrained used oil filters were picked up on 5/26/2021. <br /> -The used oil container had an inaccurate accumulation start date of 3/2/2021. Used oil was last picked up from the <br /> facility today, 6/14/2021, according to disposal records reviewed at the time of inspection. Used oil was being <br /> drained into the used oil container at the time of inspection. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Notes: <br /> -The following minor violations was corrected at the time of inspection: <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -A 55-gallon drum of drained/undrained metal and paper used oil filters, located in the hazardous waste storage <br /> area. <br /> -A 55-gallon drum of oily absorbent, located in the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by Veronica Talamantes, Assistant <br /> Manager, who closed the hazardous waste containers. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by 7/14/2021. <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br /> of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br /> ($152).
