All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #1 Pool Gates MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pool entrance gate is not self closing or self-latching. Repair the gate to be self-closing and <br /> self-latching. <br /> The pool shall remain closed until the entry gate is self closing and self latching and a re-inspection occurs. <br /> ***NOTE:the pool gate opens inward. If the pool gate is replaced, the new pool gate must open outward.*** <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br /> Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br /> except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 31196) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br /> maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pool lacks any detectable chlorine. Maintain the pool water chlorine level at 2.0 to 10.0 ppm. <br /> The pool shall remain closed until the Cl is in the range of 2.0-10.0 ppm and a re-inspection occurs. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The safety signage is faded and unreadable. Replace safety signage ASAP.Write in the pool hours,the <br /> pool capacity, and the nearest emergency services provider(and address of the hospital). Correct ASAP. <br /> New signage is on site/needs to be installed. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.
