All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH level of the spa water is less than 7.0. Maintain the pH of the spa at 7.2 to 7.8. Correct <br />immediately or face closure. <br />Base demand conducted. The spa gallons (estimated amount) would require a minimum of 6 oz of sodium barcarbonate. <br />8-10 ounces were added. Re-check 1: pH is between 7.0 and 7.2 / more sodium bicarbonate was added. Re-check 2: pH is <br />7.2 <br />Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The combined chlorine level of the spa water is 1.4ppm. Reduce the combined chlorine level of the spa <br />to 0.4 ppm or less. Correct by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin. (CCR 65531) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: The two skimmers lack weir doors. Obtain and install weir doors for the spa skimmers by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) <br /> #23 Pool Inlets and Outlets <br />OBSERVATIONS: The effluent gauge is missing/lacking. Obtain and install an effluent gauge by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Inlet fitting shall not protrude greater than 1 inch into the pool and shall be rounded and smooth. Wall inlets <br />shall be capable of adjusting the direction of flow. Each pool shall be provided with a main drain submerged suction outlet typically located <br />at the bottom of the pool.
