SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />CONDITION Y 1,3-DICHLOROPROPENE <br />1. NOI must be submitted 48 hours prior to the start of the application. <br />2. An application cannot exceed the maximum application rate of 3321b ai/acre. <br />3. The use of 1,3-D in greenhouses is prohibited. <br />4. The permittee shall provide a valid recommendation to the CAC that has been approved by the <br />registrant before the CAC may accept the NOI and allow the application. <br />S. Application is prohibited within 100 feet of any occupied structure, measured from the <br />perimeter of the application block to any occupied residences, occupied onsite employee <br />housing, schools, convalescent homes, hospitals, or other similar sites identified by the <br />Commissioner. Any structures within 100' must be vacated at all times during the application <br />and during the 7 consecutive day period after application is complete. This restriction even <br />applies on soils that have not experienced a 1,3-D treatment in the previous two years. <br />6. Entry into the application block by any person, other than a government official or a properly <br />trained and equipped handler performing a handling task permitted by label, is prohibited from <br />the start of the application until seven (7) days after the application is complete. This prohibition <br />applies to all applications, including all tarp types and untarped applications. <br />7. Tarps that do not meet the requirements for any percentage reduction in buffer zone distance <br />may be perforated and /or removed according to fumigant labeling directions. <br />8. Tarps that meet the requirements for any percentage reduction in buffer zone distance <br />mentioned on 1,3-D/Chloropicrin labels must not be perforated until a minimum of nine (9) days <br />(216 hours) have elapsed after the application is complete and must not be removed until a <br />minimum of one day (24 hours) after perforation, unless a weather condition exists that <br />necessitates early tarp perforation or removal as specified by the fumigant label. <br />9. All applications are prohibited during December. <br />10, In San Joaquin County, 4 methods are prohibited from May 1— October 31: <br />Nontarpaulin/Shallow/Broadcast or Bed (1201), Tarpaulin/Shallow/Broadcast (1202), <br />Tarpaulin/Shallow/Bed (1203), Tarpaulin/Shallow/Bed-with tarp eligible for 60% credit (1243) <br />11. 1,3-D products containing Chloropicrin are subject to the Chloropicrin permit, conditions. <br />Rev. 10/17 <br />
